NABTEB urges improved education system

UNIBEN reopens for academic activities today

The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB), Prof. Ifeoma Isiugo-Abanihe, yesterday, tasked the academia and other stakeholders on need for relevant educational assessment and upskilling for the betterment of the country’s education system.

Isiugo-Abanihe, who was represented by Dr. Obinna Opara, Director, Examinations Administration, NABTEB, gave the charge during the fifth yearly conference of the International Association for Innovations in Educational Assessment (IAIIEA) with theme, “Development-Driven Educational Assessment for Transformation and Survival,” hosted by NABTEB at its headquarters in Benin city, Edo State.

MEANWHILE, the authorities of University of Benin (UNIBEN), yesterday, said Monday, October 24, 2022, is for the resumption of the 2020/2021 academic session.
The university’s Senate made the announcement in a statement signed by Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the institution, Benedicta Ehanire, in Benin City. Ehanire said lectures would commence today, October 24, 2022 and the semester to run till December 23, 2022.
