Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has flagged off the distribution of over two million Insecticide Treated Nets (ITNs) to families across the state.

The governor stated, yesterday, that his administration’s determination to reduce maternal and child morbidity was in line with his campaign promise.

Sule commended the donors for partnering the state government towards ensuring the elimination of malaria in the state.

His words: “In 2013, the percentage of treated net usage was 11 per cent; but in 2022, it has risen to 55 per cent. We hope to make it 100 per cent by 2023,” adding that the ITN would be distributed in 147 electoral wards in 866 distribution points across the state.

He appealed to beneficiaries to ensure proper usage of the nets every night for their household and not to abandon it after collection.
