Natures Gentle Touch has donated 500 cartons of Natures Gentle Touch hand sanitisers to the Lagos State Government as its support for COVID-19 response.

Presenting the items, its Founder, Chika Ikenga said, “The brand stands in solidarity with Lagos State. The spread of coronavirus has disrupted lives, livelihoods and communities and we cannot stand aside and watch.

“Government cannot do it alone without the support of the private sector, other groups and citizens. We cannot afford to feel hopeless and helpless in these uncertain and unprecedented times. Natures Gentle Touch Beauty brand believes in the concepts of community, support and togetherness,” he added

Ikenga, therefore, canvassed more private sector support for government at the state and federal levels, to effectively fight the pandemic, urging Nigerians to follow guidelines by health officials and ensure frequent sanitizing, hand washing and social distancing.

He promised that the company would continue to donate free hand sanitisers and washing soap to the areas most in need to minimise the impact of the virus on public health.

While receiving the items on behalf of the state government, Commissioner for Transport, Dr. Fredric Oladehinde, commended the company for supporting the government in the battle against the pandemic.

He noted that COVID-19 was real and urged other private sector organisations to emulate Natures Gentle Touch gesture, adding that the war against the pandemic could only be won collectively.

He restated the need for members of the public to stay at home and stay safe, while adhering to all laid down regulations as given by health officials to curtail spread of the pandemic.

Oladehinde assured representatives of the brand that government would ensure that the sanitisers get to those who need them, especially the most vulnerable.
