NBTE grants Federal Poly Ayede full accreditation

Approves eight new ND programmes

The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has granted full accreditation to Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, and approved the commencement of eight new National Diploma (ND) programmes.

The newly approved programmes include Electrical Electronics Engineering Technology, Accountancy, Business Administration and Management, Public Administration, Agricultural Technology, Urban and Regional Planning, Estate Management and Valuation, and Tourism Management Technology.
 
This brings the total number of ND programmes offered by the polytechnic to 12, including the previously approved ones in Computer Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Science Laboratory Technology, and Statistics.

The Rector, Dr Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed, in a statement by the institution’s Protocols and Public Relations Officer, Sunday Adepoju, said the result of the accreditation exercise held between April 10 and 12, 2025, represents 100 per cent success as all the requests were granted. 
 
The statement read in part: “I, the Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Ayede, am proud to announce that we have achieved 100 per cent success in the recent accreditation exercise conducted by our regulatory body, the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), between April 10 and April 12, 2025.
 
“This milestone underscores the polytechnic’s commitment to excellence in technical and vocational education. “In a further endorsement of the academic growth of the federal polytechnic, the NBTE has also approved the commencement of a new ND programme, Office Technology and Management, in the School of Management Sciences.
 
“With the full accreditation and approval to start the new programme, we now have 13 ND programmes.” Abdul-Hameed explained that beyond the five programmes, the institution also offers ND Accountancy, Business Administration and Management, Public Administration, Urban and
Regional Planning, Estate Management and Valuation, Tourism Management Technology, Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology, and Agricultural Technology. He, therefore, thanked the NBTE for granting the full accreditation.
