NCAA cautions airlines against non-compliance to screening procedure

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) yesterday cautioned international airlines against violation of onboard surveillance, screening and monitoring of passengers.

It directed all airlines operating international and regional flights into Nigeria to issue Health Declaration Forms (HDFs) to their passengers and crew members before arriving the country’s airports.

The warning is coming on the heels of failure of some airlines to provide HDFs or passengers self-reporting forms, contrary to NCAA’s directive in January.
General Manager, Public Affairs of NCAA, Sam Adurogboye, said the authority had issued a letter to all airlines and other stakeholders to that effect, stressing that airlines should passengers to provide factual addresses and phone numbers to enhance contact tracing in case there was the need to do so.
