The Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) has highlighted its Eligible Customer Programme (ECP) as part of its efforts to provide more reliable electricity to industrial and commercial consumers, saying that a stable power supply remains critical to business growth and economic development.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NDPHC, Jennifer Adighije, reiterated the company’s commitment to improving electricity access and supporting productive sectors of the economy.

According to her, reliable electricity remains essential for industrial expansion, job creation, and improved productivity, as businesses require a predictable power supply to operate efficiently and expand.

“At NDPHC, we remain committed to delivering reliable electricity that drives industries, empowers communities, and fuels national progress,” Adighije said.

She described the Eligible Customer Programme as a strategic initiative that enables large industrial and commercial consumers to access electricity directly, helping reduce operational disruptions caused by inadequate power supply.

“Our Eligible Customer Programme gives businesses reliable, predictable electricity so they can focus on scaling operations, not power outages,” she stated.

Adighije explained that the programme is designed to reduce energy uncertainty and improve business competitiveness by ensuring a more consistent electricity supply.

She added that improved access to electricity would continue to play an important role in supporting industrial growth and economic development, while calling for stronger collaboration among stakeholders to build a more resilient power sector.

According to NDPHC, businesses participating in the programme could benefit from improved operational efficiency, reduced downtime, and enhanced energy security, enabling them to expand production and invest in growth opportunities.

The company also said ongoing initiatives, including the Light Up Nigeria Project, are aimed at improving electricity access for productive users and strengthening industrial capacity across the country.
