Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, yesterday, said that Lagos-Ibadan Expressway would be completed by mid-September.He also said that roads would be built with concrete to last longer, adding that night work would be introduced to make work faster.

Umahi spoke during his visit to the sites of completed and ongoing Federal Government projects in Lagos State.

The inspection tour started at the outer Marina Road in Victoria Island to the newly-rehabilitated Eko Bridge and Ijora Olopa, the Lagoon section of Eko Bridge and Apapa.

The minister, who emphasised on cleaning the surroundings as part of the Federal Government project, said: “We will build drainages. Under the bridges will be concreted and handed over to the state government. They can create parks and beautify.”
