Caleb University mourns Odunmbaku’s wife

The management of Caleb University, Imota, has condoled with the renowned public administrator and elder statesman, Cardinal James Odunmbaku, over the death of his wife, Mother Celestial Olasinmi Odunmbaku, who died on June 25, 2026.

During a condolence visit, led by the Visitor to the university, Dr Oladega Adebogun, the institution described the deceased, who was widely respected for her Christian service, humility and philanthropy, as a woman whose life positively impacted many people.

Represented by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olalekan Asikhia, Adebogun said Mrs Odunmbaku exemplified faith, humility, compassion, and selfless service to God and humanity. He prayed for God’s comfort for the family and eternal rest for the deceased.

Mrs Odunmbaku was a former Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development in Ondo State and was noted for her contributions to public service, women’s empowerment and grassroots development.

On his part, Cardinal Odunmbaku thanked the university’s management for the visit and urged Nigerians to live lives guided by faith, integrity and service to humanity.
