Funeral rites for Dr Esther Oludayo Afolabi, who died recently at the age of 71, will hold on Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27, 2026, in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
 
A statement by the Afolabi family, said there would be a Service of Songs/ Wake on Friday, June 26, 2026, at her residence, Castle of Mercy and Grace, Phase 3, Moremi Estate, opposite Energy Petrol Station, along Ile-Ife Road, at 4:00p.m.
 
Funeral service holds on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Anu, Modakeke DCC Headquarters (along Urban/Ondo Road), starting from at 10:00 a.m., followed by a private interment.
 
Afolabi was a retired school principal, entrepreneur, and former staff member of Adeleke University, Ede. She hailed from the renowned Baba Akande/Baba Abiye family of Ede. 
 
She was a devout Christian and lover of people, who earned a Master’s degree at LIFE Theological Seminary, Lagos and a Ph D. at Adeleke University, Ede, Osun State.
 
She is survived by her husband, Pastor E. O. Afolabi, children, and other family members.
