CardinalStone has officially commissioned the newly rehabilitated access road and drainage leading to its office on Herbert Macaulay Way, Sabo, Yaba.
Before the intervention, the road posed daily challenges for commuters, businesses, and residents, with frequent flooding and deterioration affecting accessibility and convenience.
The commissioning ceremony, attended by CardinalStone executives, community leaders, and a representative of the Lagos State Government, highlighted the collaborative effort behind the project.
“This project reflects our commitment to supporting infrastructure that improves daily life and fosters community development,” said Chinonso Okurume, Chief Business Strategist at CardinalStone Registrars. “We are pleased to deliver a lasting solution that enhances accessibility and convenience for all.”
“This project is a reflection of our belief in the power of partnerships to deliver lasting impact,” added Elile Olutimayin, Executive Director at CardinalStone. “At CardinalStone, we are intentional about supporting infrastructure that not only serves our immediate stakeholders but also contributes to the long-term development of the communities where we operate.”
Commending the initiative, Mr Olusegun Sanwo-Olu, Executive Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on Project Implementation and Monitoring, described the project as an excellent example of how private sector participation can complement government efforts in providing sustainable infrastructure.
“This is the type of partnership that creates real impact in our communities, and we encourage more organisations to follow this example,” he said.
Also speaking at the event, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Infrastructure, Olufemi Daramola, urged stakeholders to take ownership of the project and guard against misuse or neglect of the new road infrastructure.
He praised CardinalStone for sponsoring the project and encouraged other corporate organisations to support infrastructure development as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
The project included a complete rehabilitation of the road surface and drainage system, designed for durability and long-term sustainability. This initiative builds on CardinalStone’s track record of community impact. Previous projects include donating a solar-powered ICT lab to Aje Comprehensive Senior Secondary School and renovating facilities for students with special needs at Modupe Cole Memorial School.
