The official car of the member representing Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency, Sesoo Gboko, has been snatched at gunpoint.

In a statement, the lawmaker’s Senior Legislative Aide, Bem Adzaagee, said the unfortunate incident was carried out by yet-to-be-identified armed men around the Gudu area of Abuja.

“The gunmen compelled the Honourable Member’s driver to surrender the vehicle to them as he parked at the car park of a public place in the Gudu area of the Federal Capital Territory and was making his way into the premises.

“The driver, who was returning from an errand, had gone there to pick up the honourable member, who was having meetings with some persons at the location,” the statement read.

Adzaagee stated that neither the driver nor any other person around the scene sustained injuries during the incident. He also commended the swift response of security agencies, which he said were already trailing the stolen vehicle.
