Kaduna govt opens recruitment for new vocational training institute

The Kaduna State Government has announced the commencement of recruitment for instructors at the newly established Institute of Vocational Training and Skills Development (IVTSD).

The recruitment exercise, managed by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Technology (MBIT), aims to fill academic positions across the institute’s three campuses.

The IVTSD was recently commissioned by the state governor, Uba Sani, as part of efforts to expand access to vocational education and enhance skill development in the state.

According to the MBIT, the initiative aligns with the Governor’s Rural Transformation Agenda and his commitment to human capital development as a sustainable strategy to reduce youth unemployment, curb restiveness, and enhance productivity in the State.

The institute’s campuses are located in Soba, Soba LGA (Abubakar Dangiwa Umar Campus); Rigachikun, Igabi LGA (Abdulkadir Balarabe Musa Campus); and Samaru-Kataf, Zangon Kataf LGA (Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa Campus).

The IVTSD campuses are strategically located across the three Senatorial Zones of the State as follows: Zone One Campus – Soba, Soba LGA (known as Abubakar Dangiwa Umar Campus); Zone Two Campus – Rigachikun, Igabi LGA (known as Abdulkadir Balarabe Musa Campus); and Zone Three Campus – Samaru-Kataf, Zangon Kataf LGA (known as Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa Campus).

Vacancies are open for Permanent and Pensionable, Contract Appointments, and Part-Time Engagement positions, and the deadline for submission is July 20, 2025.
