Ogun cleric arrested for defiling 12-year-old girl
The Ogun State Police Command has arrested Alfa Jubril Dalamun, a 39-year-old cleric in Ago Iwoye, Ijebu North Local Government Area (LGA) of the state for allegedly defiling a 12-year-old girl.
The suspect was said to have forcefully had carnal knowledge of the victim on Saturday, October 19, 2024, around 1:00 p.m.
The command spokesperson, Omolola Odutola explained that the Divisional Police Officer received a report of the sexual assault at 9:40 a.m. on October 22, 2024.
The victim’s mother, a resident of Adekoja Street in Abobi Ago Iwoye, accompanied her daughter to report the incident.

“She reported that the suspect had forcibly assaulted and defiled her daughter. The victim was taken to Love and Care Hospital in Ago Iwoye for medical examination and treatment,” Odutola stated.
She noted that police visited the crime scene and the suspect was arrested, adding that the case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further inquiry and appropriate investigation.
Odutola affirmed that the command will ensure justice is served in this case and urged anyone with information to come forward.
Recall that earlier this month, a 41-year-old father, Aliu Ibrahim, was arrested for allegedly defiling his 12-year-old biological daughter in the Yewa-North local government area.
