In a statement, the RRS said three of those arrested were ex-convicts. The suspects include Kayode Sulaiman (30), Basiru Saheed (33), Ekene Ifeanyi (20), Ile-Ifa Sherif (27), and Adeleke Sakiru (23).

The squad added that on October 11, its operatives responded to a distress report at Ile Epo, Agbado, around 3:00 a.m., where a passerby alleged he was robbed by miscreants who dispossessed him of two mobile phones. A follow-up operation led to the arrest of another key suspect, Mustapha Alabi (24), also known as Alabi Yellow, who reportedly made a confessional statement.

RRS Commander, CSP Shola Jejeloye, reaffirmed the squad’s commitment to sustaining the crackdown on street urchins and criminals harassing motorists in Ile Epo and other identified hotspots across Lagos. All the suspects have since been arraigned in court.
