
Operatives of the CP Special Assignment Team (CP-SAT), attached to the Delta Police Command, have arrested suspected kidnappers terrorizing the Abraka/Obiaruku/Umutu communities in Delta State.
The Police spokesperson, Bright Edafe, who confirmed the incident, said the Police acted on intelligence reports to effect the arrest.
He said the team, led by ASP Julius Robinson, stormed the hideout on February 2, 2025, and busted the house of the fleeing gang leader named Emeka ‘m,’ surname unknown, at about 16:35 hrs, located at Evwokenren Layout off Ughelli Road, Agbarho, in the Ughelli North council of the state.
“During the raid, a fabricated semi-automatic Beretta pistol with four rounds of live ammunition, four locally made cut-to-size guns, 13 rounds of live cartridges, and a pair of military uniforms concealed in a black polythene bag were recovered,” he explained.
The Police image maker said, “The suspect is in custody, and a manhunt to arrest other members of his gang is ongoing.”
