The Rivers State Police Command has launched an investigation into the deaths of a man and a teenage girl whose bodies were found inside a Toyota Corolla in Mgboushimini community, Obio/Akpor Local Council of the state.

The command’s spokesperson, ASP Blessing Agabe, confirmed the incident in a text message, saying an investigation had commenced to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths and determine their cause.

She, however, did not provide further details.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that the man’s wife is pregnant and had previously confronted the girl over an alleged relationship with her husband.

The identities of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding their deaths had yet to be officially established as of yesterday.

The police investigation is expected to clarify how the two died and whether any criminal act was involved.
