Police recover three suspected stolen, abandoned vehicles in Abuja

Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command have recovered three vehicles suspected to have been stolen and abandoned in different parts of the city.

The operation, conducted on August 11, 2025, followed credible intelligence received by officers attached to the Central Police Station.

According to a statement by Josephine Adeh, Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Police Command, the recovered vehicles include a Honda Civic, ash in colour, with registration number YAB 837 TA; a Toyota Sienna LE, also ash in colour, with registration number ABJ 75 JR; and an orange Coaster Bus without a registration number.

While investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the abandonment of the vehicles, the command has urged members of the public whose vehicles match these descriptions to visit the FCT Police Command Headquarters with proof of ownership for verification and collection.

Ajao Adewale, Commissioner of Police, FCT, expressed appreciation to residents for their cooperation and continued support to the police through the provision of timely and useful information.

He reaffirmed the command’s commitment to tackling vehicle theft and other crimes in the territory, while urging the public to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious movements or criminal activities.
