Personnel of a private security company, Gallery Security Services Limited (GSSL), have rescued an abducted woman from a palm plantation in the Iju-Osun community in Irele Local Council of Ondo State.
The 37-year-old trader, identified as Mrs Morenike Falona, was reportedly abducted at about 10:00 p.m. on June 16, 2026, from her residence at Orelopo Street in Irele Town and was rescued unharmed at about 6:30 p.m. on June 19.
GSSL Security Manager, Lieutenant Zakari Abdullahi (rtd), told newsmen that two suspects had been handed over to the Ajagba Divisional Police Station in Irele for further investigation.
Acting on credible intelligence, the security outfit had reportedly deployed a team of 20 operatives, who rescued the victim and arrested two suspects identified as Obibodefiyie Ajuesie, 36, from Ajapa community, and Monday Lucky, 37, popularly known as “Gazilo”, from Akpata community, both in Ese-Odo Local Council of the state.
Meanwhile, GSSL Chief Executive Officer, Bibopere Ajube, commended members of the public for providing timely and actionable information that contributed to the rescue mission.
Ajube further urged residents to be vigilant and continue to cooperate with security agencies by reporting suspicious activities.
