Two suspects arrsted over killing of 22-year-old in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested two suspects over the alleged killing of a 22-year-old man, Daniel Samuel, in Michika Local Council.

The suspects, Dakiyar Tumba, 23, and Sini Luka, 23, both residents of Michika, allegedly stabbed the victim in the back during an attack on April 12, 2026.

The command’s spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said in a statement that the victim, who sustained multiple injuries, managed to reach the Michika Divisional Police Headquarters while bleeding and seeking help.

He said the police responded promptly and evacuated Samuel to a hospital, where he was confirmed dead on arrival.

Nguroje added that operatives arrested the suspects and recovered the knife believed to have been used in the attack, describing it as key evidence in the case.

Condemning the incident, the Commissioner of Police, Kabir Umar Hassan, ordered a full investigation by the State Criminal Investigation Department.

He assured that justice would be served and warned residents against taking the law into their own hands, urging them to adopt peaceful means of resolving disputes.

The suspects are expected to face charges of criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide as investigations near completion.
