OAU, UI announce dates for resumption of academic activities

UNILAG awaits Senate directive
The Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) and University of Ibadan (UI) have announced the resumption of their academic activities.
 
The OAU Registrar and Secretary to Council, Mrs. Margaret Omosule, has directed students of the institution to return back to school, as full academic activities commence today, October 20, 2022.

Also, a statement by Registrar and Secretary to UI Council, Olubunmi Faluyi, in Ibadan, yesterday, reads: “Senate of the university of Ibadan at a special meeting on Monday, October 17, 2022 approved that academic activities should resume effective Monday, October 24, 2022 for the continuation of the 2021/2022 session.

“Consequently, Halls of Residence would be opened from Sunday, October 23, 2022.”

MEANWHILE, as UNILAG awaits the Senate to adjust the academic calendar, Dean of Students Affairs, Ademola Adeleke, said the school management would ensure that hostels are in a ready state for students’ resumption.
 
He added that students would be informed as soon as possible and necessary adjustments are made.
