Dr Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku

The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji (FEDPOLEL), Ondo State, Dr Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku, on Friday stressed that workers are pillars of national development as well as indispensable engines of societal transformation and growth.

While speaking on the commemoration of this year’s Workers’ Day celebration, the rector harped on what he described as the timeless role workers have played in reshaping human societies.

According to Ebeloku, in a statement he signed personally, workers are the foundation upon which civilisations are built, noting that through their dedication and sacrifice, communities are changed into better environments for all citizens.

The rector maintained that the cooperation of the three unions in the institution with management has led to peaceful coexistence and industrial harmony.

The statement read in parts, “On this auspicious Workers’ Day, I therefore wish to salute and acknowledge the tremendous efforts of the entire staff of Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, for their resilience, steadfastness, unalloyed cooperation and unwavering commitment towards promoting and projecting the laudable vision and mission of our cherished institution.

“In the same vein, the cooperation of the three workers’ unions in the institution (ASUP, SSANIP and NASU) in sustaining peaceful coexistence and maintaining industrial harmony is highly appreciated and commendable. It is my hope and expectation that this show of camaraderie will continue unabated.

“As we mark this day, let us project ahead for a glorious future where the voices of our workers would be heard and their labour would not be in vain but be rewarded without let or hindrance.

“Let us continue to work together as a team to surmount every obstacle and distraction in our collective quest to achieve the FEDPOLEL of our dreams and the Nigerian of our hope.”
