Founder, House on the Rock, Pastor Paul Adefarasin has blamed bad leadership in the country on her political system.

Adefarasin said this, yesterday, at the 10th Project Spread, a yearly charity donation to the less privileged to celebrate Christmas, which was held at the Rock Cathedral, Lekki, Lagos.

According to him, Project Spread was initiated to show and share with Nigerians, the true meaning of Christmas. The pastor, while giving out about 2000 bags of 5kg rice and other food items, said churches and mosques must look after the people. He also said religious organisations must talk to government about citizens’s plight.

“Nigerians must be taught how to fish and not given fish. The youths must be given technical skills to stand on their own and earn a strong living. We must, together with the government, provide good and quality education.”

Advising Nigerians on what to do in the next election, he said: “Everyone must exercise their right to vote, get a voter’s card, become a member of a political party, otherwise they will only give us two devils to choose from. The right people that can lead Nigeria, that can take all the 36 states to the next level are available, but the political process does not allow the right people to come up, the kind of people who are willing to serve the people.

“What we need is good leadership. So, the electorates must stop asking politicians for rice and chicken. They must demand good governance. I blame many Nigerians for selling their votes without knowing whom they are voting for.”
