NIMASA empowers 623 IDPs in Nasarawa

The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has empowered 623 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) with tools to boost their earnings.

Its Director-General, Dr. Bashir Jamoh, while presenting the items, yesterday, said the donation was part of the agency’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Represented by the Assistant Director, Seafarer Services, Dr. Amos Hosea Kuje, the NIMASA boss noted that the items would alleviate the suffering of the underprivileged and fast-track their self-reliance.

The goods consist of two tricycles, four motorcycles, 15 sewing machines, 350 welding machines, 160 grinding machines, 50 hair clippers with accessories, 10 2200 KVA generators, 15 vulcanising machines, 15 water surface pumps and two sugar extractor machines.
