NLNG generates $108b in 21 years
Former Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG), Tony Attah, has disclosed that the company generated $108b revenue in the last 21 years.
Attah, who spoke during an interactive session with the Nicholas Mutuh-led House of Representatives Committee on Gas Resources, disclosed that the NLNG also paid out $35b dividends to its shareholders within the period under review.
He added that it paid out $8b taxes within the time frame, adding Liquefied Narural Gas (LNG) installed asset base stood at $11b.
Giving further details of the company’s performance, he said: “In the 21 years of our operations, we delivered over 5,000 LNG cargoes around the world. We have 23 dedicated ships to ensure that our operations run smoothly. On Bonny Island, we have six installed and operating LNG trains of 22m tons capacity.”
