NNLA awards unveils first batch of recipients
Bringing together the country’s most impactful individuals in the corporate world under the platform of the Nigerian National Legacy Prize for Corporate Excellence, the governing board of the Nigerian National Legacy Awards have officially unveiled the first batch of recipients for the prestigious honour.
In a release by its Executive Secretary, Amb Ovie Odubu, the governing board of the Nigerian National Legacy Awards agreed to honour these recipients because of the positive impacts they have made in Nigeria.
The recipients includes Kingston Sylvanus, Mr. Dapo Omolade, Mr. Alex Ikechukwu Akalugwu, Major Bilyaminu Musa Muhammed, Mr. Emmanuel Etuk, Mr. Adesoji Adeniji , Engr. Cyprain Omeili, Mr. Eric Opuene Alalibo and Mr. Philips Matthew. Six other recipients will be announced before the week runs out.
Well known for their outstanding pedigree in the corporate world, the awardees represent the will of the Nigerians as the award selection process was merit driven and based on credibility. Fifteen individuals are been profiled for the fifteen award openings.
Odubu noted that whereas the board’s choices were based on the strength of industry knowledge and professional record, the choice of recipients was anchored on the strength of their nomination and public perception.
The Nigerian National Legacy Awards established in 2010 celebrates five distinct award prizes annually. The Nigerian National Legacy Prize for Public Service, The Nigerian National Legacy Prize for Nation Building, The Nigerian National Legacy Prize for Leadership, The Nigerian National Legacy Prize for Coporate Excellence and the Nigerian National Legacy Prize for Community Development.
The Nigerian National Legacy Awards is a nonpartisan body that galvanises leadership and promote engagement, in partnership with allies and partners to shape solutions to challenges bedeviling the nation. Since inception, an array of notable Nigerians have emerged recipients of this prestigious awards.
