No going back on IPPIS implementation, FG vows

Accountant General of the Federation (AGF), Ahmed Idris

Despite the rejection of the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS) by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), the Accountant General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, yesterday, reiterated the commitment of the Federal Government to migrate all personnel, agencies and institutions to the platform.

Addressing a training of IPPIS role players in Uyo, Akwa State, Idris, represented by the Director, Consolidated Account/IPSAS in his office, Salawu Zubairu, admitted that the task to harmonise parastatals had been arduous.

He explained that the retreat was one of the strategies “ to continually keep the IPPIS role players in tune with the workings of the policy and to enhance their capacity to take full ownership of their respective payrolls and efficiently discharge their responsibilities in the centralised platform.”

Declaring the event open, Governor Udom Emmanuel said his administration has been operating IPPIS since 2015.
