Northern CAN celebrates with Islamic faithful
Northern Christian Association of Nigerian (CAN) has felicitated with the Moslem Community as they celebrate this year’s Eid-El-Fitri in the North and Federal Capital Territory (Abuja).
In a statement issued in Jos, Plateau State yesterday, its Chairman, Reverend Yakubu Pam, said the Eid-El–Fitri celebrations came at a time Nigerians need to pray for peace and unity of the country and for God to have mercy on them.
According to Pam, Moslem leaders and faithful should use the occasion to pray for peace, unity, prosperity and development in all sectors of the Nigerian economy.
He tasked all Muslims to practice the lessons learnt during the Ramadan fasting period to show love for one another, extend same to Christians and share whatever they have with the less privileged as exemplified by Prophet Mohammed (SAW).
