The National Youth Service Corps (National Youth Service Corps) has officially released call-up letters for prospective corps members in the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II, marking a key step in the final phase of mobilisation for graduates across the country.
Checks on the NYSC portal on Monday confirmed that deployment details and call-up numbers were uploaded early in the day, allowing candidates to begin accessing their posting information.
However, many users reported slow access to the portal due to heavy traffic caused by high login attempts.
Some prospective corps members expressed frustration over delays, noting that the system was intermittently slow as thousands of graduates simultaneously tried to check their status.
The call-up letters are accessible via the official NYSC portals, where candidates can now confirm their state of deployment ahead of the upcoming orientation exercise.
According to the scheme, the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II orientation programme is scheduled to begin on April 22, 2026, with registration and reception of corps members opening that same day.
The exercise will run across all designated orientation camps nationwide.
The swearing-in ceremony is expected to hold on April 24, while the full orientation course will continue until May 12, 2026.
NYSC has also urged prospective corps members to prioritise safety while travelling to their assigned orientation camps, strongly advising against night journeys and encouraging early travel planning.
This development signals the final stage of preparation for thousands of graduates set to begin Nigeria’s mandatory one-year national service.
