Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, are among personalities expected at the 19th anniversary of the Love of Christ Generation Church on Sunday, September 13 in Lagos.

The thanksgiving service, themed “Harvest of Divine Favour,” will hold at the church’s Lagos headquarters from 10:00 a.m. and is expected to attract religious leaders, dignitaries and worshippers from Nigeria and abroad.

The church’s founder,Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi, said the anniversary was an opportunity to appreciate God for what she described as testimonies recorded by the church over the years.

“We cannot thank our Creator enough. This event is about telling the world about the amazing favour the Lord has shown us as a church, both within and outside Nigeria,” she said.

Ajayi said a similar thanksgiving service was recently held in London,attracting worshippers and personalities from different countries.

She said free buses would be available to convey worshippers from various parts of Lagos State and neighbouring areas to the venue while the

Lagos State Government will also provide ambulance services for medical emergencies during the programme.

National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria and founder of the Sword of the Spirit Ministries, Archbishop Wale Oke is expected to deliver the sermon, alongside other clerics.

Ajayi said the church had over the years sponsored the education of some non-members in private universities.

Speaking on the 2027 general elections and the country’s economic
difficulties, Ajayi urged Nigerians to promote love, unity and peaceful coexistence.

“No government can take care of all its citizens at once, but with love,we will all overcome,” she said, urging citizens who genuinely loved the country to avoid actions capable of destabilising it.

She expressed optimism that the country’s economic hardship would ease,
saying, “Nigeria will be great again.”
