The Rotary Club of Lagos has installed Olutoyin Mobisola Odulate as its 66th President.
Odulate’s installation also marked a continuation of a family legacy, coming 50 years after her late father served as the club’s 16th president.
According to a statement by Chairman, Public Image Committee, Rotary Club of Lagos, Emeka Dibia, the event, held last Friday, July 3, 2026, at the Metropolitan Club on Victoria Island, Lagos, also marked the inauguration of the club’s 2026-2027 Board of Directors.
The club, chartered on May 30, 1961, stands as the second Rotary Club to be chartered in Nigeria, after the Rotary Club of Kano a month earlier in April 1961.
Nnaemeka Achebe delivered an eloquent address that warmly acknowledged the significance of Odulate following in her father’s footsteps, while the Special Guest, Adenike Ogunlesi, offered insightful remarks, and Toki Mabogunje reflected on her year of service.
In her acceptance speech, Odulate outlined an ambitious and compassionate vision for her tenure, emphasising sustainable development, youth empowerment, healthcare, and strengthened community partnerships.
The Rotary International President, Olayinka Babalola, praised Odulate’s leadership calibre and unwavering commitment to Rotary’s ideals of service.
