Ogun State Internal Revenue Service (OGIRS), has distributed Hilux vehicles, motorcycles and tablets to some selected tax stations and units, as part of efforts to enhance revenue generation, improve operational efficiency and strengthening tax administration across the State.

The Executive Chairman (OGIRS), Mr. Olugbenga Olaleye, disclosed during the commissioning of the vehicles and equipment at the Agency’s premises in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the state capital.

Olaleye noted that the distribution was aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and boosting revenue generation across the State.

He explained that the vehicles were acquired to improve mobility, particularly in navigating difficult terrains, while also facilitating the movement of staff during revenue drive exercises.

The OGIRS Boss stressed that the motorcycles would support field operations in hard-to-reach areas, while the tablets would enhance data collection, monitoring and overall service delivery.

He commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for his support and the opportunity given to him to serve the State in such capacity, noting that staff welfare remained a top priority and key component of the Agency’s commitment to enhancing productivity.

“To whom much is given, much is expected, therefore, I urge you to carry out your duties professionally and diligently. Do not shortchange the government; rather, remain committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, accountability and service delivery.” The chairman noted.

He, however, expressed confidence that the newly acquired vehicles and equipment would further strengthen the Agency’s capacity to deliver on its mandate and contribute significantly to the State’s revenue growth and development agenda.
