OGSIEC to engage over 10,000 ad-hoc staff for council polls

The Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) has said that over 10,000 ad-hoc members of staff will be engaged for the conduct of the July 24, 2021, local council election in the state.

The Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) has said that over 10,000 ad-hoc members of staff will be engaged for the conduct of the July 24, 2021, local council election in the state.

OGSIEC Chairman, Babatunde Osibodu, who disclosed this in Abeokuta, said that the move would further provide jobs for the teeming youths during the period.

Osibodu added that interested persons should keep monitoring the media, as the commission would soon come up with the method of application, which he said, would be done via its website.

He urged political parties participating in the election to ensure transparent primaries be monitored by OGSIEC.
