Ogundipe, Island Club vice chairman gets APC Assembly ticket

Current Vice Chairman of Island Club and former council chairman of Agege LGA, Otunba Stephen Ogundipe, has emerged Lagos House of Assembly candidate for Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 1 of the All Progressive Congress (APC) at the weekend.

In the result announced by the chairman of the primary election committee, Kabiru Aweroro, Ogundipe scored 20 of the delegates’ votes to defeat his opponent, Hakeem Sokunle, who got four.

Speaking after the victory, Ogundipe, who is also a member of the Rotary Club of Ewutuntun, thanked Governor Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the apex leader in Oshodi, Pa J.O Olabimtan, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, the Commissioner for Housing, Moruf Akinderu Fatai, Chairman of Oshodi/Isolo Local Government, Kehinde Almoroof-Oloyede, Kehinde Olorunoje, and Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, aka MC Oluomo for making the success possible.

Also, Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Urban and Physical Planning, Mr Ganiu Adele Ayuba has clinched the APC House of Representatives ticket. He defeated his opponent, Olaseni Oladipupo with 32 votes.

According to the APC electoral officer, 55 delegates were being expected, 33 were accredited, while 32 voted overwhelmingly for the winner and one person abstained.

For Alimosho House of Assembly Constituency 1, 35 delegates were expected, Jimoh Orelope Lukeman scored 15, Ogunwuyi Egundayo scored 19 votes, Abiodun Made scored 1 vote, Adebowale Adetunji scored Zero, Ajisegiri Jamiu scored zero, Oduola Ayotunde scored zero, Akande Sola John scored Zero, Ajigbotafe Akinyemi scored zero, Akinwale Isreal scored zero, Akinola Bashir scored Zero, Dada Abiola Afolabi scored zero, Dada Samson scored Zero, Sodiya Folunsola scored Zero and Williams Bamidele Zero, Alimosho House of Assembly 11, 22 Delegates were being expected Hon Kehinde Joseph scored 15 votes while Musendiku Abioye Quadri scored 1 vote, Sanuth Muibat Omotunde scored I vote, and Oseni Olajide Hameed scored 3.
