Okorocha drops 13 aides from cabinet in Imo
Thirteen appointees of Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State have been relieved of their jobs.
The Guardian gathered that the affected aides were seeking elective offices in next year’s general elections.
A statement yesterday in Owerri by the Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Sam Onwuemeodo, the disengaged appointees include the Chief of Staff, Uche Nwosu; Secretary to the State Government (SSG), George Eche; the governor’s principal secretary, Paschal Obi, and Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations), Kingsley Uju.
Six commissioners were also affected, including Emma Ojinere (Trade, Investment/Commerce).
