As part of efforts geared towards helping widows and the less privileged in society, popular Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde in partnership with her foundation, Give and Let’s Give, has begun a home makeover for widows residing in Redemption Camp, Mowe axis of Ogun State.

According to Omotola, who spoke at the commencement of the programme yesterday, the initiative was birthed out of the fact that her mother was a widow before she passed on.

She said: “The vision and mission of the foundation is to add value and improve the lives of the less privileged, especially widows and I got this motivation from the fact that my mother was a widow before she passed on.”

The initiative kicked off with the renovation of the home of a beneficiary, Folashade Nduka, a widow with four kids, who resides in Mowe.

She was also gifted with some home appliances, including a refrigerator, television, cooker and other kitchen utensils.

The widow, while expressing her gratitude, praised the actress and her foundation for the gesture.

She said: “I feel grateful to God and words can’t express how I feel because I wasn’t expecting it this big. Your foundation has just fulfilled God’s purpose in my life.”
