To ensure the rapid development of Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State, the Chairman, Abayomi Adesanya, has intensified effort towards curbing Transformer theft.

He also named Ilutitun Broad Street after HRM. (Late) Oba Daniel Ikusika Juba, the Rebuja of Osooro Land, a close associate of Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

Adesanya also tasked stakeholders across the towns, villages and hamlets on the need for communal efforts to protect property and infrastructure of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) and the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) in the area.

He emphasized this while receiving a group of stakeholders, Eminent Elders Forum recently in his office where issues facing the council area were extensively discussed.

He described the recognition bestowed on the late monarch as a result of his immense contributions, ideologies, and principle during his reign.

Abayomi said the late monarch spent the greater part of his life promoting the culture and tradition of the people at all times. He, therefore, said it would be noble for the people not to forget him and his ideals in a hurry.
