OPSH commander may end special task force in Plateau

Major-General Anthony Atolagbe has assumed office as the new commander of Operations Safe Haven (OPSH) in Jos, Plateau state.

Atolagbe who was transferred from Defence Headquaters as Director, Peace Keeping and Operations took over from Major General Rogers Ibe Nicholas who has been transferred to Army Headquarters as Chief of Logistics Department.

During the handing over ceremony yesterday, the outgoing commander said that he has achieved the mandate given to him because he was leaving Plateau better than he met it.

Nicholas explained that when he came to Plateau the situation was bad but he and his troops have remained resolute and peace has returned to the state.

Atolagbe enjoined officers of the command to put in their best towards ensuring that everything goes well.
