Organisers of 2022 Arise Walk, a global initiative aimed at encouraging sound health by the founder of Arise Women Conference, a faith-based Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Dr. Siju Iluyomade, have picked October 15 for the event, which theme is ‘Appointed To Live.’
According to the organisers, the programme will be preceded by a novelty football match featuring Ex-Super Eagles stars like Peter Rufai, Daniel Amokachi, Samson Siasia, Yakubu Aiyegbeni and a host of their colleagues against a selected team.
The walk, which is a prelude to the 14th Arise Women Conference, will hold in 50 clusters across different parts of the world, in different African countries simultaneously. They are the United Kingdom, United States, Canada and Australia, as well as several other European countries.
The initiative has always featured thousands of individuals, including prominent Nigerians and international icons in business, politics and entertainment.
The organisers disclosed that the match, which holds a day before Arise Walk, on October 14, is designed to promote the main events, such as the Arise Walk, empowerment and skills acquisition programme for the less privileged and the Arise Women Conference.
According to the organisers, this year’s main event, which will tee off with Arise Golf Tournament on October 7 at the Ikoyi Club 1938, is expected to begin by 7.00 a.m.
