Osinbajo’s meeting with Saraki, Dogara, APC governors ends in deadlock
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo’s meeting with the Senate President Bukola Saraki, House of Representatives Speaker Yakubu Dogara and the five governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ended in deadlock yesterday.
The agenda of the meeting, which lasted over two hours at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, our sources said, included the alleged lopsided appointments, the Federal Government’s $30 billion loan request, among other issues.
Indications that no decision was reached emerged when none of the five governors: Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun), Rochas Okorocha (Imo), Abdulaziz Yari (Zamfara), Abubakar Sani Bello (Niger) and Jubrila Bindo (Adamawa), was ready to comment on the outcome of the meeting.
They clustered briefly outside the lobby leading to the office of the vice president and were openly arguing and glossing over a document. They left one after another.
Saraki, pestered by newsmen, said the meeting was convened to come up with ideas that would make the country better.
His words: “I am sure the vice president will issue a statement. But it is nothing of great alarm. It is all for good governance, inclusion and collaboration with all arms of government. The state governors were here, National Assembly executives. We just came up with ideas on how to make things work even better, that is all.”

There is fire on the mountain.
Real fire!! Confusion in their camp. APC has lost all ideas of what to do to revamp the dead economy. Their supporters are now ashamed of themselves after getting tired of defending them. They should just handover to PDP.
PDP??? Like seriously?? Aren’t you fed up of both parties already? Both are same with different name.. Self seekers.
We need a real change of how things are done.
I posted a comment on this already on ‘ThisDay’ best you turn to it and discover the ‘germ’ in the thinking!
Buhari and his gang have ran out of lies. No more to tell, just dodge pressmen after failed meetings. That is what prevails now. What a change?
Most people on this forum bheave like spectators on the sideline of football pitch. They always ‘know’ how to play or have superior skills more than the players in a match.

Thank you. Meanwhile, no intelligent suggestions / ideas. At best, they insult / abuse. There is so much scarcity of intelligent discussions, and contributions even in the face of disagreement with each other. But its easy to point out what others aren’t doing correctly.
@Segu Adeyi & Tayomi: What intelligent suggestions and ideas of the past have ever been considered? Segu try your own suggestion and see if any government will listen to it.
Nigerian case is beyond peculiar spectators rather the country is populated by blind political followers. To them any criticism means supporting thieves while the country is daily grumbling. Saddening!
Hhmmmmm
We are now back to square one, if care is not taken.
Government of the Governors for the Governors by the Governors.
They reigned like this during Jonathan’s period and pushed their party into a deep GULLY .
The People are the clearest interpreters in all political contest and not the Governors, this Buhari should please UNDERSTAND.
The President is running a one man squad forgetting that we are in a democracy. He has isolated members of the party. All the signs are there that he is on his own. He might not complete his tenor.
We have to constitute a human right and anti incompetence law enforcement agency to arrest all Apc stewards , the chairmen and leaders ,together with every deluded apc supporter ; comfused buhari and his cabinet . The campaign is taking place from tomorrow;16/11/2016. Operation Arrest Anything Apc Party.
Theme….Enough Is Enough.
We will review and take appropriate action.
