The battle for August 15 gubernatorial poll in Osun took a new twist on Sunday in Osogbo, the state capital as the former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola, ex-Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Fatai Akinbade, alongside their supporters backed the ambition to the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as Sunday AMBO.
Also leading his supporters and loyalists to declare for the APC is former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national vice chairman, South West,Alhaji Tajudeen Oladipo.
Oyinlola, formerly a leader of the PDP, who is now a member of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) read the declaration address on behalf of others stakeholders.
This latest development may shore up the electoral fortune of AMBO and the APC ahead Saturdays governorship poll.
However, despite their declaration, they did not renounce the membership of the their respective political parties.
