Our campaign will be issues-based, says Katsina guber candidate, Radda
The governorship candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina State, Dr. Dikko Radda, has assured that his election campaigns would be issues-based rather than calumnious.
Radda, who stated this, yesterday, in an interview with newsmen, said the habit of some politicians is to engage in campaigns of calumny and name-calling against opponents.
He said instead of emphasising on issues that would lead to socio-economic transformation of the state, some politicians look for ways to pull down opposition candidates in their campaigns.
He, however, assured that his outings will be devoid of character abuse, focusing solely on how he intends to better the lot of the people, if elected.
He said the Governor Aminu Masari-led administration has been able to transform several sectors of the state, and he intends to build on it if he becomes governor.
He said: “What we intend to focus on, in the campaign of 2023, is issues. We have to look at issues and we have to look at what you can contribute towards solving those issues in the state.”
He said such campaign has become necessary because the Electoral Act had changed the political sphere by promoting transparency, “as well as giving confidence to voters that what they vote is what they get.”
