Payment of new minimum wage to affect employment process, says Plateau government
The Plateau Government has said implementing the new minimum wage would affect the employment process already approved in the state.
The Head of Civil Service, Izam Azi, dropped the hint when the State House of Assembly Standing Committee on Appropriation led by its chairman, Yahaya Adamu, paid a familiarisation visit to the departments and agencies of government.
In his remarks, the panel chair said they were in the State House to acquaint themselves with the operations of ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) under the committee’s purview to ensure accountability.
