Police seal Kwankwaso’s campaign office in Kano
The Kano State Police Command has sealed the popular Lugard Hall campaign office of former governor, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso.Commissioner of Police, Rabi’u Yusuf, told reporters that the decision was taken following an intelligence report that the Kwankwasiyya Foundation for Development was planning to hold the already cancelled mass wedding at the place.
It had earlier planned the event for the Sani Abacha Centre last week which incidentally clashed with the state government’s youth empowerment programme.To avert crisis, the command had read a riot act to both parties to put off their events.
Policemen were at the venue and nearby routes.According to a source, the wedding still held in an undisclosed location within Kano metropolis, adding that the newly wedded were reportedly heading to Lugard Hall for their marriage items when the police were alerted.
