PPPRA denies scarcity of aviation fuel as stock hits 83m litres
Nigeria currently has eighty-three million, eight hundred and ninety-eight thousand, five hundred and eleven litres of Aviation Turbine Kerosene (ATK), generally called ‘aviation fuel’, the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) has disclosed.
Reacting to the speculated scarcity of the product, its Executive Secretary, Abdulkadir Saidu, who spoke yesterday in Abuja, explained that the country had 38-day sufficiency of the commodity.
He said at the close of work on Friday, available data indicated that inland stock stood at 40,032,066.67 litres while marine (stock on the waters) was 43,866,444.44 litres.
Saidu added that inland days sufficiency stood at 18.36 days while marine’s was 20,12 days.
