Communications professional and cleric, Dr. Segun Alabi, has called for nationwide prayers to address the insecurity in Nigeria. Making the appeal during the launch of his book, Prayer Meditations: Activating Your Prayer Bank Account, he urged Nigerians to intensify supplications ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Alabi said: “We need to pray for Nigeria. Nigeria is an entity of prophecy. Something is about to happen and we must keep on praying that God should hijack the country from the hands of bad leaders. The prayer meditation book is a contribution to the body of Christ that speaks specifically to its weapon of warfare in times like this.”

Also speaking, Deputy General Overseer of Living Power Church, Osun State, Prof. Francis Adesina, noted that the book was timely, adding that religious leaders seeking arms for protection need spiritual books to combat insecurity.

“The message of this book is that you do not need a gun. The book is coming out at a time when pastors are looking for guns, putting the Bible aside.

“Also, the book preaches that the quality of prayer is not dependent on the number of words, but the state of the heart and the amount of faith a person has and his understanding of the scripture,” he added.
