Pray for end to ASUU strike, says Delta AG

Delta State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Isaiah Bozimo, has gone spiritual over ongoing industrial action by Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and urged Nigerians to pray for Federal Government and ASUU to reach agreement towards ending the strike by lecturers.

Bozimo said in Asaba, while receiving an award of excellence for his contributions to the legal profession from members of Law Students Association of Nigeria (LAWSAN), South-South zone, that the strike action had impacted negatively on students and education generally.

He commended LAWSAN for the award and assured them he would give the group necessary support to succeed in their education pursuits, stressing that he was particularly pleased with their laudable programmes.

Earlier, the leader of the group, Oghenevovmeero Favour, sergeant-at-arms, Lawsan Senate, while presenting the award to the attorney-general, commended him for accepting to sponsor their programmes and other financial assistance received from him.
