Men had been challenged to live a total life with a view to fulfilling the Kingdom mandate and play effective role as men and husbands in their homes.
The call was made at the Anchor 2025 with the theme “Unleashed for Kingdom Positioning” organised by The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Redeemer’s Men Fellowship, Lagos Province 16 held at the Church auditorium, Peace Assembly Parish, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The Pastor in charge of the Province, and Chairman, Redeemer’s Men Fellowship (RMF), Pastor Biyi Famoyegun said the third edition of Anchor Conference, which is the conference of the Redeemers Men’s Fellowship of the RCCG in Lagos Province 16 is a platform whereby men are brought together including all Christian men to address the issue of becoming total men at homes, in offices and in the society at large.
“People complain that churches are increasing in number but looking at the society, things are getting worse. We, therefore decided to focus attention on the men in the church to equip them with the necessary requirements to live exemplary life so that the society will be a better place.
“This is our vision and to the glory of God, we are seeing improvements on a yearly basis and this is our third outing. We are trusting the Lord to continue raising total men of husbands and fathers who know what the Lord expects of them in raising godly children who will be financially viable and be a plus to the society.
“This made us to provide facilitators such as Dr. Chris Williams, Dr. Ayodeji Ebo, Pastor (Mrs.) Titi Adegbile and Pastor Segun Macaulay among others to equip the participants with required nuggets to be total men.
Famoyegun disclosed that aside the notable speakers on ground, RMF also organises empowerment programme for men who are showcased every year to give testimonies of their breakthroughs adding that vehicles were brought for two men last year to put food on their tables.
He also noted that for this year, money would be given to people to start businesses, all in line with the four cardinal points and focus of RMF which include faith, family, fitness and finance and that every branch in the province is encouraged to follow suit.
The General Secretary for Lagos Province 16 and RMF, Charles Okeibunor said part of the empowerment include asking members to bring home appliances they no longer need such as air-conditioner, clothes, boxes among others with a view to selling them at very cheap prices to members who need them but cannot afford them.
One of the facilitators, Mrs. Titi Adegbile dwelt on the importance of estate planning which will make families not to be paying a big percentage of acquired properties to the government.
The President, RMF, LP 16, A/P Lanre Lamina described the conference as a divine appointment that would set every participant free from every thing holding him back such as sin, shame, insecurity, power of the enemy and every form of societal distractions and reposition him to be strategically placed to fulfill the purpose for his living.
