As part of activities to mark this year’s International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Rotary Club of Ewutuntun, District 9110, Lagos, at the weekend, visited Central Primary School, a special school for pupils with disabilities in Oshodi, to fete the pupils and present them with gifts for Yuletide.

President of the Club, Rotarian Kelvin Ihekuna, said the time- out with the kids had become a yearly event to make the pupils feel loved and have a sense of belonging in society.

He, therefore, urged Nigerians to always look out for vulnerable members of the society around them and cater for their needs in any little way they could, which would go a long way in making the society better and reducing crime.

Earlier, members of the club visited Oshodi-Isolo Local Council Chairman, Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, on a courtesy visit.

Ihekuna said that their reason for the visit was to appreciate the chairman and his team for embarking on such massive projects within the council. He also said that they would create a partnership with the government in rebuilding the community.

Oloyede, who was represented by his deputy, Mrs. Modupe Badmus-Aregbe, appreciated the club for its selfless service, particularly towards developing the society and improving the educational status of students.
