The Rotary Club of Ogudu GRA has installed Akeem Shonde as its 18th president and earmarked N26.9 million to undertake projects in Lagos State communities.
The projects include maternal and child safe birth kits, child hygiene and deworming, campaign against drug and alcohol abuse, among others.

The new President, while speaking at the installation ceremony, at the weekend, said the club had been steadfastly dedicated to identifying and assisting vulnerable people in the society through various programmes and projects in the seven areas of focus over the past 16 years.

Shonde commended the club for entrusting him with the responsibility of leadership as President for the Rotary year, adding that his installation is a pivotal step towards creating impactful change and enhancing societal resilience.

He pledged to dedicate himself to serve and ensure that the year would be memorable for the entire club members and the community at large.

“It has long been my aspiration to contribute to local and international communities, a commitment I have upheld since my induction into the Rotary family. I assure you that this commitment remains steadfast,” he stated.
