Rotarian Alaba Ibironke has been elected President, Rotary Club of Omole-Golden, taking over from Rotarian Abiodun Oshinibosi, who completed his one-year term.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, an elated Oshinibosi said the support of all past presidents and members of the club was responsible for the massive achievements recorded during his tenure, which has undoubtedly made the club a cynosure of all eyes both locally and internationally.

He said whenever one comes to the end of a worthwhile experience like being the President of a Rotary club, there is always a mixture of emotions.

He added that members of the club have committed themselves to recapitalising their charitable trusts, for future sustainable support for the needs of their community.

In her acceptance speech, Ibironke promised not to relent on the good works, as she would try her best not to let the club down, but justify the confidence reposed in her.

She commended the succession plan of Rotary Club.

“Rotary succession plan is highly commendable, at least, three years earlier, you know who the next President would be, which gives the ample time to plan for the job.

So when eventually you take over the mantle of leadership, it would not be a problem for you.
